Family KITAS: For Dependents of Indonesian Citizens

The Family KITAS allows eligible family members of Indonesian citizens to reside in Indonesia under the sponsorship of their Indonesian family members.

KITAS Types and Eligibility

E31A – Spouse of Indonesian Citizen

For the legally married husband or wife of an Indonesian citizen.

E31C – Child of Indonesian Citizen

For children where at least one parent is an Indonesian citizen.

E31D – Stepchild of Indonesian Citizen

For stepchildren of Indonesian citizens, provided the parents are married.

E31F – Adopted Child of Indonesian Citizen

For lawfully adopted children of Indonesian citizens.

E31G – Parent of Indonesian Citizen

For parents of Indonesian citizens aged 21 or older.

Length of Stay

• 6 Months, 1 Year, or 2 Years with renewal options available.

What You CAN Do with the Family KITAS

• Reside in Indonesia under sponsorship.
• Travel freely to and from Indonesia.

What You CAN NOT Do

• Work or earn income from Indonesian entities.
• Overstay beyond the validity of the KITAS.

Application Process

Each KITAS application includes:

1. Passport valid for at least 6 months.
2. A recent color photograph.
3. Proof of relationship to the Indonesian sponsor (e.g., marriage or birth certificate).
4. Relevant additional documents depending on the type of KITAS.

Additional Requirements for Applicants Inside Indonesia:

• Valid e-visa (single or multiple entry) with at least 30 days remaining before expiry.

Important Notes

• International bank transfers may take up to 5 business days to clear.
• Business days exclude weekends and public holidays.
• Application processing starts only after payment has cleared.
