An Affidavit is a legal document issued by Indonesian immigration authorities for children who hold dual nationality and a foreign passport. It confirms the child’s Indonesian citizenship alongside their foreign nationality. This affidavit is essential for children who hold only a foreign passport but are Indonesian citizens by descent or other means. With this document, children are exempt from needing a visa, immigration permit, or re-entry permit when entering or leaving Indonesia.

This affidavit card acts as proof of dual nationality and simplifies the child’s travel between countries without the need for additional immigration documentation or complex procedures, streamlining entry into Indonesia.

Price

• IDR 1,500,000 – Regular processing (14 business days).
• IDR 2,300,000 – Priority processing (7 business days).

The regular processing time is 14 business days, while priority processing expedites the procedure to 7 business days.

Document Requirements

To apply for the Affidavit, the following documents are required:

• Bali Visas application form: A completed application form for the affidavit process.
• Child’s Indonesian & Foreign Passport: Copies of both passports to verify the dual nationality status.
• Child’s Identification Card (KIA): The Indonesian child ID card, if available.
• Scan of the identity and signature pages of the parent’s passport: These pages must be color scanned (no photos).
• Child’s birth certificate (Akta Lahir): The official birth certificate of the child.
• Indonesian ID card (KTP) of the parent(s): Proof of the Indonesian citizenship of the parent(s).
• Family certificate (Kartu Keluarga): A copy of the family registration card to establish familial ties.
• Scan of most recent visa sticker/stamp in passport of foreign parent: Proof of the foreign parent’s legal status in Indonesia.
• Marriage certificate of parents: A document proving the marital status of the child’s parents.

Renewal Process

• Renewal Timeline:
  The Affidavit must be renewed within 2 to 3 weeks before the current Affidavit expires.
• Document Resubmission:
  All previously required documents must be resubmitted as part of the renewal process, including the Affidavit card itself.
